THE THOUGHT EXCHANGE™ – Exploring Thought as Cause
a workshop with David Friedman
In this workshop, developed by David, we explore the notion that our lives and the situations we see before us are a reflection of our thoughts. So often we think that the reason we think or feel a certain way is because of what has happened to us in the world. Perhaps it is the other way around….. the world is simply a mirror that shows us exactly, accurately and always, what WE are thinking. Nobody would be foolish enough to look in a mirror and try to change the reflection there, and yet so often we struggle to change what’s in our world, when in fact a simple change of thought would immediately show up there.
In this intimate workshop, a small group sits in a circle and, on a voluntary basis (nobody has to speak) we look at situations in our lives, trace what thought might be underlying it, pick a new thought and see what happens in the intervening week. Each week, we’ll explore how simply taking on a new thought affects our lives. We leave the workshop knowing how to use this powerful technique to change what is appearing in our lives as easily as putting on a different outfit and seeing the immediate results in the mirror.
David Friedman is a composer/conductor/record producer from New York whose work includes many well-known songs of hope and healing, Musical Direction and Vocal Arranging for 5 Broadway shows and numerous Classic Disney Movies, (Beauty & The Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas, Hunchback,) songs in films such as Lizzie McGuire and the upcoming Bambi sequel, recordings with artists such as Diana Ross, Barry Manilow, Petula Clark, and the late Nancy LaMott, and a wide range of coaching, teaching and leading workshops in the arts.

Dynamics for Living with Rev. Shawn

Mary Morrissey’s 10 week prosperity course. A discussion class with DVD viewing and discussion leading to understanding tithing, forgiveness and prosperity.
Please note class requirements: $49 materials fee for CDs & workbook; 10% Tithe contributed at each class; Tithe of talent/time as a volunteer at Unity Center or organization of your choice for the 10 weeks of class; attendance at Unity Center’s Sunday Celebration Service during class term. Experience the “Bars” + Reiki Exchange

Reiki Master & Bars Facilitator will offer each attendee a ‘Mini’ Bars session (participate in giving, if you have taken a “bars” class). The “Bars” is part of Access Consciousness, which is a set of tools and processes that are designed to facilitate more consciousness for everyone. There are 32 bars of energy that run through and around your head. They store the electromagnetic component of all the thoughts/ ideas. Simply put, the “Bars” is like reflexology on your head. All are also welcome to receive/share a short Reiki healing session. Reiki is a gentle energy healing technique helpful for stress reduction.

Bible Study at Unity: starting Jan. 13, 2012
1st, 2nd & 4th Friday at 7 pm: We are going to read our way through the New Testament by watching a beautiful DVD of each book, featurning filmed scenes illustrating the text as it is narrated and shown on the screen, all supported by a beautiful musical soundtrack. Rev. Shawn will facilitate discussion following each viewing.
Every 3rd Friday at 7 pm: Bible scholar, Rev. Ed Townley, will come to Unity Center to explain the metaphysical significance of the Bible. Class will include plenty of time for active discussion and questions.
